During University I started VAC (visual arts club) which then became Eco Arts Service inspired by a rich cultural life I lived in Mexico prior to moving to Canada. I was also inspired by local artist Pamela Rojas and Neruda Arts (which we collaborated to bring art to the student body who experiences a complex mental and emotional through permanent murals and an arpillera workshop. Eco Arts Service is still running in Waterloo University. After graduating, I co-founded Tamarind Eco Arts which received funding to provide mobile art workshops for youth of colour in Victoria Park. I am proudly a collective member of EmotionArt and we have recently received funding for creating Art in the Park.
