Sol Naciente Wisdom has come from many years of dedicated effort to hold transformational spaces and the vision to support and share a living philosophy that is rooted in love, one with the Sacred, and dedicated to the rising of the Inner Sun. The Sun as the Ancient metaphor for Source Light and the Authentic Self.

Our Founder

Vero Diaz is a queer inter artist for wellbeing, spiritual teacher, wellness expert, and traditionally trained healer from Mexico based in Tkaronto.

Vero believes in the power of imagination and storytelling as forces that brings collective actions and personal transformation in the face of hard emotions, harsh urban realities, and painful memories.

She has been an Arts Educator for almost two decades in Waterloo, Toronto, and internationally in Costa Rica, Colombia, and México with Award-winning organizations like VIBE Arts, Jumblies, Muse Arts, and East End Arts.

Vero is passionate about facilitating spaces where art and ancient practices brings healing and wellness with painting, creative writing, and earth based arts. They also curate journeys for others interested in their decolonization path through art, cultural practices, and inner connection. She provides mentorship and therapy to Latinx, BIPOC, and queer people.

Their therapeutical and creative practice are connected to her Spiritual Path and grounded in the indigenous reclamation journey of her culture from the Original Caretakers of Anahuac, Mayan Peninsula, and Sierra of Nayarit, Jalisco and Queretaro in México. Her artistic work carries her grandparent stories, themes and wisdom within her paintings, self-portraiture lens-based series, and installations.

Her work has been published in Shameless Magazine, Black Solo, and shown in Harbourfront Centre, Gallery 44, Toronto Public Library, Artscape Yongeplace, Sketch, World Pride, York University, Waterloo University, and Kitchener City Hall. Díaz mounted her first solo photography exhibition Inner Blooming at the Arcadia Gallery in 2017 and was one of the highlighted photographers for in 10 x 10 Photo Exhibit in 2019.

She completed her Masters in Environmental Studies (MES) at York University in Latinx Transformation & Decolonial Art Practice and is Traditionally Trained with Elders in womb medicine and Earth Based Teachings.
